"This module provides students with extended and advanced knowledge and skills in Java
application development. Students will learn how to use an essential sub-set of the core
Java technology to develop an application with a graphical user interface (GUI),
client/server networking capability (including web-based) and a database back-end. They
will practise the knowledge learnt through a series of application development exercises."
