This module provides an overview of the different research methods used in Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT). It covers topics ranging from the principles of research design, experiment design, to various aspects of reading, writing, evaluating papers, and presenting research. The module arms to develop a better understanding of what research in CS and IT is and how it differs from research projects in other fields. Students will learn to find and evaluate research on their topic and to present their own research plan or results for evaluation by others.
