"This module provides students with the basic concepts in software quality assurance and
evaluation metrics for software products and processes. Upon completion of the module,
participants shall obtain the techniques to investigate and evaluate a software product, as
well as verification, validation and testing techniques. Participants shall understand the
needs for ensuring quality standards throughout the software development life cycle.
From the knowledge of failures and defects, students should acquire the ability to avoid
errors and/or vulnerabilities when writing codes. Students should become able to address
more quality-related issues while developing software products. Moreover, this module
also discusses advanced topics in software quality assurance such as statistical quality
assurance, process improvement and defect analysis."
